Every family has their “staple” recipes that get made each week, and if they do not get made in the home they are ordering them to go. Why not try out a completely new recipe, with foods you have never really tried before (or that your kids have never tried before). This will make for a fun trip to the grocery store, along with mixing up your weekly routines of cooking. Some may say, “My kids are too picky, and would never go for this idea.” Well then, have a backup meal planned in case the new and exciting meal fails! It’s always fun to have the kids try and cook too, whether it is on the weekends when you have more time or amongst your busy workweek.

Embrace the weather in which you are given! If it is snow, opt to go make a snowman in the front yard, or take the sleds out to see some action. If you are living in the sunshine, your options are endless as you could go for a walk, bike ride, hike, or simply play a pick up game of basketball. No matter what the weather, make an effort to get outside and breathe in the fresh air with your family!
